The Wellesley Society of Artists recently awarded Wellesley High School sophomore, Emma Soliva, with The WSA Art Achievement Award at their Awards Night on June 8, 2017.
Emma is a metals studio artist that entered the course as a freshman. The WHS art department staff was so impressed by her skills she was given an “intensive” spot as a sophomore.
Teachers remarked that her portfolio of work is conceptually very well thought out and she displays a personal maturity. Emma is going on the WHS art department trip to Greece this summer. The WSA Art Achievement Award dates back decades. The WSA is grateful to be able to reinstitute this award to recognize and support the efforts of art students at the Wellesley High School.
