Florence Como

Lincoln, MA

Whether painting in watercolors, oils or acrylics, Florence draws inspiration from the ever-changing beauty of nature, her greatest teacher. In landscape paintings, she is frequently inspired by colorful sunsets, reflections in water, and the play of light and shadows. She loves and is inspired by the endless variations of the different times of day and the seasons. Florence also loves to paint architectural subjects. She draws upon memories and photographs for subject matter from her many trips to Europe, especially Italy. Her greatest art experiences have been workshops at the La Romita School of Art in Umbria where she had the wonderful experience of painting en plein air, in the little hill towns. Florence also paints in her studio from photos that she takes as she travels around with her camera looking for special areas of interest that she uses for future paintings.
