Inspired by her Aunt Winnie, Mary began painting in 2007. A love of realistic watercolor allows Mary to bring sharp focus to the beauty of fruits, flowers, and everyday objects. With a palette of rich, deep color, and by finding the balance between light, shapes, and shadows, Mary is continually challenged to push forward, creating art she loves. Concentrating exclusively in watercolor, Mary is thankful for the instruction and guidance of artists Nancy Motley Walton, Marla Greenfield, and Andrew Kusmin. Mary also enjoys learning about art by studying the work of artists on line, in books, and in galleries.
