Growing up on the coast of New England, water has long been Yales’s favorite subject matter. Waves crashing on the shore, the peacefulness of calm water with its reflected light, abstract and exciting reflections of manmade objects—all are inspiration for her paintings. Her love of animals has also been a source of inspiration—she loves the challenge of capturing the distinct personality of each one she paints. Yale paints in both watercolors and acrylics. She is a Signature Member of New England Watercolor Society and the Rhode Island Watercolor Society, and past president of the WSA.
