SUMMARY:"The Nuts and Bolts of Selling Art"
DESCRIPTION:Join the Wellesley Society of Artists and John and Gillian Ross\, owners of Gallery Twist\, Lexington for a primer on “The Nuts and Bolts of Selling Art”\, Tuesday\, September 29th\, 6:30-8pm\, at the Wellesley Free Library Wakelin Room.  This session is designed to help artists navigate the complexities of finding “new homes” for their work by addressing the key issues that matter most to both artists and gallery owners. \nTopics will include: \n\nPricing strategies\nThe importance of presenting/framing artwork\nInsights into what galleries consider when choosing art\nPro-tips (and common pitfalls!) for working with gallery owners\n\nThe presentation will conclude with a Q&A session\, offering an opportunity to get direct feedback from experienced gallery owners. \nGallery Twist is located in the center of Lexington\, Massachusetts\, in a beautiful historic home near the Battle Green. The unique setting in a beautiful historic house\, together with the distinctive way art isdisplayed\, makes it indeed a gallery with a twist. Each year 3 – 5 exhibitions are presented\, offering visitors an opportunity to view an eclectic mix of New England artwork in various styles and media. In this welcoming and un-intimidating environment visitors enjoy what many have called ‘an art experience’. Gillian & John Ross opened Gallery Twist in 2015.

SUMMARY:Ornament/Mini Painting at Art Oasis
DESCRIPTION:All WSA members are invited to join us Monday\, September 28\, 11:00am – 1:00pm for another ornament/mini painting session at Art Oasis. WSA member Kris Shaffer is co hosting at her studio and art space\, Art Oasis (across from Tory Burch) at the Natick Mall. Bring your paints/brushes and we will supply the mini canvases.All ornaments/mini paintings are for the WSA fundraiser at the Wellesley Marketplace.   If you can’t stay to paint\, stop by to say hello to see Art Oasis and pick up some mini canvases to paint at home. Email us at wsaartists@gmail.com and we will save you a seat! \n \nAll artwork is due November 8\, 2026. The Wellesley Marketplace is Saturday\, November 21 9:00am – 4:00pm at the Wellesley High School.
