Chelsea says, color and wonder saturate her work because she is continually inspired by New England’s dramatic and moving light. Her art relies on being fully present and paying close attention to her surrounding world. When Chelsea finds herself in awe of a particular scene or place, she purposefully refocuses and concentrates on her feelings and sense of the scene. Then when she returns to the studio, she works to create a reflection of the place and her emotional response to it.
