Nan Daly

Nan explores imaginary landscapes through watercolor and mixed media paintings. Drawn to the illusion of textures and exciting blends of color, she often stains and collages thin Asian papers onto the pieces. Although these paintings are abstract, to her they evoke memories of growing up in an apple orchard near the mountains and waterfalls of upstate New York.

On days of a different mood, Nan paints close-ups of flowers based on the hundreds of photos she takes in other people’s gardens—because she lacks a green thumb herself!
